We didn't use chalk rounds or any simmunition. We did use a lot of blanks for exercises. But I think it is determined by the company/battalion you goto.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 19 at 2021 4:14 PM2021-04-19T16:14:05-04:002021-04-19T16:14:05-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member6914230<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I graduated in 2013. Typically for any shooting and moving you will do dry, blank, then live. Why? maybe if you had a more specific question we could get that answered.Response by SSG Brian L. made Apr 20 at 2021 8:25 AM2021-04-20T08:25:23-04:002021-04-20T08:25:23-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member6918071<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Are you in Fort Benning right now? And at 30th AG right? I assume that you are, because if you were in your basic training unit you wouldn't have the time to post your question about this subject. But it depends on the unit that you are assign to. They can request for sims and etc. or just use blanks. Good luckResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 21 at 2021 11:53 AM2021-04-21T11:53:40-04:002021-04-21T11:53:40-04:00SSgt Private RallyPoint Member6919837<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I went in 2012, there was one time I think we used sim rounds for a urban ops. Aside from that it was all blanks. You will do buddy team live fires, night shoots, and qual ranges of all sorts too.<br /><br />I was ARNG in IL and PA and we used sim rounds a good bit in both states. Even if you don't in basic, you'll get your chance.
