You might be able to attend ROTC as an elective in college with VA disability. Issue is that you may or may not meet DODMERB medical requirements in order to obtain an officer&#39;s commission at graduation Response by LTC Eugene Chu made Dec 10 at 2020 9:52 PM 2020-12-10T21:52:59-05:00 2020-12-10T21:52:59-05:00 SGM Bill Frazer 6569890 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Very possible, since the intended result of ROTC to to get you in the service as an Officer. Whether its the Reserves or AD, you still will have to meet service requirements Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Dec 10 at 2020 10:29 PM 2020-12-10T22:29:52-05:00 2020-12-10T22:29:52-05:00 SGT Chris Padgett 6570037 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It can be done, but the person will have to be found fit for duty. <br />All VA disability ratings will be considered case closed and upgraded to rehabilitated or discontinued. <br />You can&#39;t be on active duty or reserve/guard status and be VA rated at the same time. You conditions may make you unfit but the fact you are rated by the VA will not. But during the medical screening any illness/injury you have may fail requirements. I would recommend speaking to an ROTC advisor for more guidance.
