Truthfully don't know, suggest grabbing a retention NCO for a talk. If you get promoted before the 368 is approved, you keep the rank, but only if you’ve completed the required NCOES for the current rank. In some cases when doing conditional releases when the SM is at the MEPS executing their active duty contract they lose a grade or have to reclassify to a new MOS based on the needs of the active army.
