Depending on where you are transferring to you may be required to extend or reenlist to meet the SRR for your new assignmentResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 11 at 2021 5:45 PM2021-03-11T17:45:13-05:002021-03-11T17:45:13-05:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member6815556<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yeah, enlisted contracts are very cut and dry, if your time is going to be extended or cut short, there will be paperwork with YOUR signature on it agreeing to it. If you don't have to talk to your Reup NCO, then no worries on adding anything.Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 11 at 2021 6:30 PM2021-03-11T18:30:51-05:002021-03-11T18:30:51-05:00Cpl Vic Burk6815791<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not unless you agree to it in writing. When your expiration of active duty (EAS) comes unless you are pending a court martial or on medical hold (I saw that happen in the Marines several times) your time is up. To hold you up past EAS is no different than you leaving before your EAS. It is a contract violation.Response by Cpl Vic Burk made Mar 11 at 2021 7:47 PM2021-03-11T19:47:18-05:002021-03-11T19:47:18-05:00CW4 Keith Dolliver6815856<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Service Obligations are typically only incurred for things that cost the Army money, i.e. a PCS move or some schools. Like some others here have already said, until you go INDEF you will know exactly when is your ETS.Response by CW4 Keith Dolliver made Mar 11 at 2021 8:10 PM2021-03-11T20:10:45-05:002021-03-11T20:10:45-05:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member6817893<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That is just an intra post transfer, all it does is change your uic.
