My school start date is finally a month away, and I just got automatic promotable status.

From what I understood previously from my retention NCO is that I could not be promotable for this reclass. My question is just can I keep the p status or do I need to start moving to get this situation remedied. I take PCS leave in 7 days, this came out of nowhere. Will being automatically promotable affect my 68C reclass? 2019-04-09T17:11:23-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4529934

So I've avoided 4 boards already from the time I reenlisted to reclass. It’s not something I would worry about. I just talked to one of the instructors standing next to me and he’s not worried about it either. The promotable status came after you signed the contract. You are not 68C qualified yet so your still competing against other 11Bs for that rank. If you have the requirements to be promoted and name comes up it should not effect it. Although that is just my opinion.

But with the fail rate of the course I would definitely not ask for my status to be dropped so if you fail out you can still earn the rank. They frequently grant grade exceptions to SPC(P) Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 9 at 2019 9:03 PM 2019-04-09T21:03:53-04:00 2019-04-09T21:03:53-04:00 2019-04-09T17:11:23-04:00
