Signed my first contract into the DEP 18 March 1999 but went to basic on 15 July 1999. My Diems date is 15 July 99 which I never got corrected but have my original contact still. I&#39;ve read so many mixed answers on the web, just seeing if anyone has any &quot;Real&quot; experience with this since retirement is only 2 years or less away Tue, 20 Jun 2017 17:28:17 -0400 Will being in the delayed entry program change my retirement date? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/will-being-in-the-delayed-entry-program-change-my-retirement-date <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Will being in the delayed entry program change my retirement date? That&#39;s what I was told when I was in DEP. My BASD is July 21, 2004 when I went to basic. I was in DEP starting like Nov 2002 - July 2004. It has nothing to do with your active service. It hasn&#39;t mine. I did 10 on active, 10 reserves. And await my retirement to either be approved or denied based on my DEP date- since it would be a reserve retirement.
