This is interesting. I think a fence could be a start, but it needs to be a thick and tall wall instead of a fence with modern day surveillance and robotic anti tank and anti personal weapons for security. You would also need a lot of border patrolman to monitor the areas.Response by CW4 Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 24 at 2015 2:30 PM2015-07-24T14:30:01-04:002015-07-24T14:30:01-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member841242

COL Mikel J. Burroughs, No Sir. The only thing I can think of that would stop the crossings is to continue to dig the ditches, but instead of barbed wire, install a natural gas line and keep it burning like an eternal flame. Sound ridiculous? Yes, and so does fences. As has been proven in Mexico, if someone wants to cross our borders, or any border, or escape from a maximum security prison, which, is another thread for RP, it can be done without anybody knowing, unless you pay off someone. Burroughs from a security and tactical perspective are useless if they are not constantly under observation (of some sort), regularly patrolled and checked, and where you have have the ability to respond to any breach issue in time to stop a potential infiltrator. It is similar to the concept that military obstacles need to be under observation and within the range of direct fire weapons to be effective. Unobserved, Unsecured, Uncontrolled barriers do little more than provide the illusion of security.Response by COL Charles Williams made Jul 24 at 2015 3:41 PM2015-07-24T15:41:34-04:002015-07-24T15:41:34-04:00SPC Steven Nihipali846214

Nope, but shooting them would!Response by SPC Steven Nihipali made Jul 27 at 2015 12:19 AM2015-07-27T00:19:54-04:002015-07-27T00:19:54-04:002015-07-24T10:52:23-04:00
