Will having initiated a VA Claim hinder my ability to re-enlist as prior-service?

I'm prior service Army and have decided I want to re-enlist. I spoke to a recruiter a few months ago and after looking at my DD214 and re code he says there should be no issue with me coming back in.

Shortly after I decided i'd continue to try my luck in the civilian sector and filed my VA Claim. As of now it's only in the early stages and I've been to a couple of appointments so far and it would be months if not longer before I actually knew what type of rating I would receive. After going back and forth with myself I'm set on re-enlisting but will me having initiated my claim hinder the process or should I simply go to the recruiter and disregard any further appointments by the VA and re-enlist.

Put your VA claim on hold until you complete enlistment processing (or change your mind). The VA and the military now have access to most of each others medical information on you especially if your service was in the last few years.
(1) What you are telling the VA might make you medically ineligible for enlistment.
(2) If your claim is successful you will go thru more paperwork for medical waivers, doctor's letters, and (3) have to suspend VA disability payments during your enlistment anyway.

Can I simply say it is considerably important that you make up your mind. You keep vacillating like this and you’ll soon be 65 with no pension but a miserly Social Security check.

First of all, this sets a bad example for any E-4 and below because You are an NCO, and the only decent choice is not submit a VA claim, but go back Active Duty. Even the consideration of filing an unnecessary VA claim is appalling....You are better than that. Spc. Lewis

I filed a claim after I got out, but decided against pursuing it, so I guess I'm 0% Service Connected, and am looking into going to OCS for the ARNG. I'm not sure what I need to do with the VA to avoid any ruffled feathers.

Other than vet groups or vet law clinics at law schools, NOVA is the nest, honest, I've sent it in, as have others on Jere, many times now...trust me, trust them, you want answers to stuff like that, they're the 'go-to's" for a lot of it, promise, just pay their retainer, and let 'em do their thing, I can answer what you asked, it's obv a quite goof question, however, trust !e, NOVA is the nest my wife and I ever found, honest....

You might rethink about it maybe go to work for Boeing I'm working for them almost 9 years and I am 80% disabled the pay is better than the military. Can you make 39 dollars an hour I doubt it besides it gets better once you max out after 6 years.

The VA claim should have no effect on your enlistment. If you are rated you will need to stop your compensation while on active duty. Anyone saying making a VA claim is Immoral while you are fit for service doesn't understand what a VA claim is. I'm rated 60% and the Army Reserve still saw fit to involuntary mobilize me. People with 100% VA rating have deployed as well. There is no relationship between a VA rating and fitness for duty.
