SGT Private RallyPoint Member 4416616 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This is a strange question I&#39;m sure, but my AIT will be taking place at the SWCS at Fort Bragg, I have several friends in the 82nd Airborne Division, and if possible I&#39;d like to be able to hang out with them on days we aren&#39;t doing anything. Obviously I understand my freedoms will be limited until the later weeks of AIT. But will this be allowed later on? Does training at SWCS restrict where you can go on Fort Bragg at all? Will I be able to interact with other units during AIT? 2019-03-03T11:58:43-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 4416616 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This is a strange question I&#39;m sure, but my AIT will be taking place at the SWCS at Fort Bragg, I have several friends in the 82nd Airborne Division, and if possible I&#39;d like to be able to hang out with them on days we aren&#39;t doing anything. Me, as a MOS-T (reclassing or prior service) wasn’t allowed to interact with ait soldiers either. Contact the training unit, or wait until you arrive and your DS/cadre will provide you the most current information. Bragg after I got back from Iraq. The cadre kept them busy and limited their free time. The reason is that the CA and MISO mos(s) were some of the most deployed their were. Don’t worry about your off time just yet, learn how to soldier and what your job is. When I taught there, all the instructors and DIs were combat vets. We tried to Impart our knowledge so that they would cone out of an Iraq or Afghanistan tour alive. After you graduate AIT you will no longer be considered a recruit, you’ll be a MOS qualified Soldier.
