And another question is if I have a house in Korea, am I able to stay at my house, not in the base? Will I be allowed to leave base wearing my ASU at Yongsan or Daegu, Korea? 2019-01-20T01:51:51-05:00 CPL Private RallyPoint Member 4301110 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I might station at Korea either one of Yongsan or Daegu, my question is am I able to leave base with ASU on when I have important event or meet people like my family or friends? Soldiers in your situation, and at your rank probably will not live off base. You will have a barracks and after work change clothes and go out in town. If you go to the mondu ku house or if you go to your parents house for dinner. It does not matter. If you are back to work on time, that is good. A lot of this depends on your MOS. If MI you may have a chance to us your language skills. As far as your uniform, unless you are attending a military function off base, you will not be allowed to wear the ASUs off post. The Commands discourage wearing the uniform off garrison/post unless you’re commuting via POV to offpost living residence. All social activities are civilian attire. One exception, official missions via government vehicle from one installation gate non stop to another installation gate. Remember OPSEC is critical and there are plenty of anti US groups in S Korea that just like to pick fights with American soldiers.
