Will I be heading to CISAC TDY enroute or is it a PCS school?

Received my school date today, I report 17 April 2020. I'm currently OCONUS at Schofield Barracks, HI. Will I be heading to CISAC TDY enroute or is it a PCS school? I'm trying to figure out how this is going to work since I'm married with 2 kids.

As it stands right now the school is currently TDY. I was in the same situation. I was given the option to send my family ahead or leave them in place to come back for them following graduation. Im not sure how it works from OCONUS but I believe you will have to send them forward to your follow-on assignment.

It's TDY Enroute, you'll get a levy brief once you have your follow on instructions that will list your options. If you want a read ahead you can look in AR 600-8-11 Reassignments at the different options you'll be required to choose from so you can plan accordingly

Congratulations on receiving a school date. It took four months before I received a school date once my application was approved. I as well am OCONUS and I received my follow on assignment instructions 120 days out from my DEROS (I changed my DEROS to 30 days prior to my school report date once I received it.) I’ll be graduating a week after you get there.

From what I remember about TDY for MOS changing schools, it is probably TDY enroute to PCS. I know your family doesn’t usually accompany a SM when I n TDY; however this might depend upon the length of the TDY assignment. When I was stationed at Five McClellan, I was responsible for publishers my MOS orders for MP’s companies letting the CID course. The ‘students’ were not authorized concurrent travel for family members. When they actually graduated as CID agents, they usually PCS’d to a new duty station with the new MOS. My guess would be your family stays in Hawaii this brilliant you complete a he course and receive new PCS orders. I hope this helps. I have been out of the Army since 1987, but a lot of personnel regulations have not changed very much.

Did you go through a counterintel recruiting office on base? Looking into this MOS as well. Currently on achofield barracks.

Congratulations on your school date! My school date is Nov 2019. I received my follow on assignment already, and am coordinating with clearing in order to prep everything for my follow-on PCS. Keep checking your SRB, and eventually it will populate. Good luck!

Just want to say I'm currently in the class, it's absolutely challenging. Seems like you have your answer but to give some advice I would pay extra attention to report writing. Just something to try and help give you a leg up
