Your rcp will change once you get promoted and your code should change. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and I have a Soldier who currently has a 9G code (bar to re-enlist). He is a CPL. Early on in his career, he did some dumb stuff and was demoted from SGT to PFC. He has since been promoted to CPL and is on his 3rd deployment. He has grown up and matured but he is concerned if the 9G code will bar him from joining the National Guard or Army Reserves. Can anyone shed some light on this? Even though the Soldier can no longer re-enlist on Active Duty, can he join the National Guard or Army Reserves? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
