Will I have to pay back my bonus if I am medboarded ?

I’m on almost on my second year, I’m currently a pfc. And I have back problems from the army, it was 40 k for 6 years, if I get medboarded will I have to pay it back ?

If you get MEDBOARD? Are you currently going thru one or recommended for one? If not, then why stress on the bonus? In fact, don't stress on it. Have you spoken with your PCP to see if they are even thinking about sending you to a MEDBOARD? Have you spoken with your unit Career Counselor and Finance Office about this?

No, you do not.

Although, if your back problem isn't so severe that you can still take an APFT or ACFT, then you should ask for a med reclass instead

Back issues take a long time to get medboarded for. I’ve been dealing with back issues for years, have had 2 surgeries, and now I’m going to a soldier recovery unit to rehab and transition out. You have a long road ahead of you before the army will consider separating you

I've known people in the nuke program who had to pay back their bonus if they were medboarded, so maybe.
