Especially when in the NG or Reserve. You would join the rear det or rear detachment and fall in with the soldiers when they come back. Shortly after graduating, you should be in contact with someone in the rear detachment about when to show up and if you deploy or not. Upon completion of AIT, you will simply join the Rear Detachment element of your unit. FYI if it were me I would readily invite the deployment. It has been my experience that deployment fosters not only skill enhancement but quicker promotion (Hint). This is a question you can ask your Rear Detachment Commander (those individuals left back at Command Headquarters) most likely you will not! Thank you! People with profiles were even out there, they were in the rear, but out there.
