I am on second caregiver leave (paternity leave) so I am not on duty and I will be visiting the deers office of a military base other than my own, will I need to show up in uniform or is civilians okay?

You should dress nicely in business casual at a minimum and have all the necessary documents and your ID. If you are off duty, uniform is not required.

No, BUT....
Have your ID, be dressed presentably, and make sure you are in compliance with other base and uniform requirements (i.e. piercings).

I appreciate the response. I didn’t want to drive over an hour to be turned around for not being In uniform.
