Talk to your recruiter, they can do a waiver request for you to retain your rank. If you are able to retain your rank, you’ll have to attend BLC. Good luck to you.... The keys are:
1. There has to be a slot for you as a SGT in your MOS. If not, then;
2. You need to find a SGT slot that you can train into (ASVAB scores will determine suitability)
3. You will need to complete SSD-1 and BLC when you get back in
Talk to a recruiter to put you in touch with readiness NCO's at units that may have a slot for you. I went and talked to the readiness NCO personally to let them meet me and get to know me before they made the decision to allow me to join.
