Forgive me for throwing this into the mix. It's been an ugly election cycle that I think neither RP nor the country at large are proud of. I'm just getting a pulse on our membership. I'm sure there are a lot of folks who might like to know where the military community stands. Voting is anonymous, vote below:

Speaking only of mathematics...

You have certain STATES that are predominantly Red or Blue. You have certain STATES that "lean" Red or Blue. You also have "Battlefield" STATES.

Based on CURRENT math.... The Reds MUST win ALL of their STATES, ALL, not SOME, but ALL, of their STATES, in addition to their LEANING STATES, and the BATTLEFIELD STATES, AND take at least one Blue Leaning State.

If they lose a "Home State" the game is over. If the Blues lose a "Home State" they have a health "buffer" and can make it up "mathematically" or in betting terms, can cover the spread.

It's not that the Blues are going to win, it's that the Blues are going to win by X Electoral College Votes. It's entirely possible that the Reds will get the 45+% of the Popular Vote, but only get 200 EC Votes (need 270 to win).

The "Winner Take All" at the State Level means that CA/NY/IL gives a VERY LARGE head start to the Blue party. If you add in the "leaning" VA/PA.... it becomes a very hard hill to climb.

Do we really need another question like this to "get the pulse" of the community? I think a simple search through the swamp of countless posts would show you that we have a good mix between both camps; some more vocal than others.

And why can't the poll include a "third party" option? While they haven't been all over the news and do not really stand a chance to win, there are still third party candidates on the ticket next week.

Last night I was at a Jeff Dunham show in Fairfax, VA. A fairly liberal suburb of Washington, DC. Jeff did a voice poll of the two major candidates, by the sound of the shouting for your candidates name it was about 80% Trump, 20% Hillary. Jeff said across the country in every city it was pretty much the same. His conclusion was Hillary Supporters don't like puppets. I was thinking more of most Hillary supporters can't afford $60 ea for your tickets.

Also what is the question you are asking?

Are you asking who do we think will win?

or are you asking Who are we voting for?

Those are two very different questions. I could be voting for Hillary but taking a realistic look at her latest dive in the polls I might think that Trump is going to win.

If you want the pulse of the community or our influence you should be asking who we are voting for.

Maybe you should change the poll to include both questions.

I am either going to make a phone call or get one after the election. My father is a hardcore democrat and I am a moderate republican. For the last 2 elections I have had to take the phone call so he can gloat. I am hoping to be able to make at least one phone call in 8 years and rub it in his face.

Its sad that Americans are sheep when it comes time to elections. Most Americans get their information from the media and in this day and age from all the crap that is plastered all over Social Media. The age of informed voters is gone and that's truly sad given the resources we have at our disposal. If MSNBC and Facebook say it then it must be true.

Unfortunately, it will be Hillary. (Not a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist, but “the system” just won’t allow it any other way. This system has strengthened for 240 years, one “outsider” will not bring it down.) While I’m not great fan of Trump, I think he is a better option, just because of the precedence that will be set if Hillary is elected. We all know there is, and has been, corruption in government. However, the blatant disregard by Hillary will stain our elections for generations to follow. I would rather vote for a clown, which will embarrass our country for four years, than pervert our system permanently. Good luck, America and God bless us.

I desperately hope it is Hillary. The thought of Trump in the oval office makes me sick, as does the the thought of religious conservatives regaining the Supreme Court majority and setting us back culturally to the 1950s.

I say Hillary. I'm very unhappy to say it but she seems to, somehow, be ahead in the polls. It's a sad time in America when someone of her character has a pretty good shot at the White House.

I'm going to vote on the 8th. On the morning of the 9th I'll get up, have my cup of coffee, and get ready for work. I may or may not channel surf my satellite radio for news. I may just turn on the IPod and jam to some tunes on the way to work. I figure around 7 or so I'll have it all figured out who won just by looking at who's happy at work and who isn't. The day of work will continue, and life will go on. Now 6-8 months from Innaguration that may be another story, but I figure I'm good for at least the next 6-9 months or so.

I used to say that this election is an insult to the intelligence of the American people. After time had passed and the election continued, I quit saying that. The more I see supporters on either side excusing and explaining away every POS thing these two candidates say or do...it is disheartening. When did the American presidency become a joke? This is the first time I have view my political option but I watch a TV program the other month. I want to take you back to when Hillary was running against our current President. Do you remember when she suddenly stepped down. DO you think she just gave up all that hard work and money spent or she was told to give up? Now from watching this program, I know there is a much higher group who decides who our next in line will be because most of our presidents are in some kind of Masonic Organization or much higher. I myself am not, just telling you from what I saw on this program and this is why I no longer vote for the American people. There is Organization higher then the president and the Masson's who will select who our next LEADER of the free world will be either if it will be Hillary or Mr. Trump, All will come down to the wire on 8 Nov. 2016. Trust me, there are organizations out there that are developed to make this outcome, It don't matter if you are male or female if you committed this crime or that crime, If it is your time your will serve under this group.

This is very crazy election this year. I know one thing, either side wins their are going to be a lot of raids and protesting going on after this and you think that all this social media is going to die down, it has just began.
