SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4192849 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I served in the National Guard for six years and ETD’d in August as a Specialist with 4 years Active duty time (towards retirement) . Now I’m Active duty Army since October, my ERB is all messed up but I did paperwork a few weeks ago to fix the dates on there. <br /><br />My LES is reflecting me as an E-4, but with 00 years in service. Once this is all cleared up will I get paid for 4 years in service or over 6? Will my 6 years of NG service count towards my AD pay? 2018-12-08T17:57:16-05:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4192849 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I served in the National Guard for six years and ETD’d in August as a Specialist with 4 years Active duty time (towards retirement) . Your active time counts for retirement. Once your PEBD is fixed, you should receive back pay for the period you were receiving pay for 0 years. MEPS is infamous for messing that up for prior service Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 8 at 2018 9:50 PM 2018-12-08T21:50:18-05:00 2018-12-08T21:50:18-05:00 2LT Private RallyPoint Member 4194787 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have a similar career progression. I recently finished my paperwork and my LES now reflects my total time. For every 6 years guard time it can be converted to 1 year active time. So 4 years active + 6 years guard = 5 years towards an active duty retirement. My LES also says I have 11 years of time in service, but since a lot of it was guard it only converts to 5 years of active time. I hope that makes things clearer for you. So I will 2 plus years more after my RC retirement to get an active retirement.
