I wanted to get married after I graduated but now going over seas complicated things. My GF is active duty waiting on my orders to PCS with me once married. If I get married on leave after graduation what’s the likely hood of her coming to Korea with me?Will my orders change if I get married on leave ?2022-07-18T21:26:24-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member7780337<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Reclass to 88m and I got stationed at Camp Casey South Korea. Best case you can hope for is Command Sponsorship and bring the spouse forward. But I don't even know if Casey allows families.Response by SFC Casey O'Mally made Jul 18 at 2022 11:20 PM2022-07-18T23:20:12-04:002022-07-18T23:20:12-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7780488<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Korea is unaccompanied, your GF will not get orders to join you. Dual military is a rough road and despite the regs that say otherwise, assignment managers do not give a shit you are dual military. Need to accept that now and even if you are co-located, you may have an hour drive to work because your duty stations are near each other and you live in the middle. Happens a lot. I have seen successful marriages last but not many. Sorry to be all gloom but I am honest.Response by MAJ Byron Oyler made Jul 19 at 2022 1:28 PM2022-07-19T13:28:21-04:002022-07-19T13:28:21-04:00SFC Ralph E Kelley7786991<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>NOResponse by SFC Ralph E Kelley made Jul 22 at 2022 9:49 PM2022-07-22T21:49:10-04:002022-07-22T21:49:10-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7789718<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You need to be married before getting orders, especially to Korea. If you want to change orders to bring your wife you will need to talk to your unit in Korea to get yourself in the MACP. I don’t think they send families to Casey, but being both military you might depending on her MOS and if you have kids. But getting orders changed just doesn’t happen automatically when you get married or divorced.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 24 at 2022 7:37 PM2022-07-24T19:37:44-04:002022-07-24T19:37:44-04:002022-07-18T21:26:24-04:00
