She would have to go through her command.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 16 at 2021 1:37 AM2021-08-16T01:37:26-04:002021-08-16T01:37:26-04:00SFC Casey O'Mally7186296<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In the regular Army you can ask to be separated for hardship. I assume it is the same in the Reserves. However, these requests are *very* rarely granted, and the onus is on the service member to demonstrate sufficient hardship. I completely understand you not wanting to discuss your (or her) "personal reasons" on an open forum. But without knowing those it is very hard for us to give you valid advice. And she will DEFINITELY have to share those with her CoC if she wants them to be factored into the decision.<br /><br />(Not trying to pry, here, honestly, just giving you the lay of the land).Response by SFC Casey O'Mally made Aug 16 at 2021 7:55 AM2021-08-16T07:55:20-04:002021-08-16T07:55:20-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member7186322<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It would probably be easier to transfer to the IRR for a spell. Either way, she will need to speak to Retention and Command.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 16 at 2021 8:03 AM2021-08-16T08:03:09-04:002021-08-16T08:03:09-04:002021-08-15T20:45:46-04:00
