Will not having a 110 GT score hurt my chances at SFC board?

No. Research the board procedures. There is a lot of information not available to the board, so that there is no undue bias.

I would highly recommend attending a Fast class in order to get it to a 110 or higher though.

Not at all. I don’t think they even can see that on your ERB. Your NCOERS, your ERB being accurate and your uniform fitting have more impact on you getting selected than anything else.

Depends on what the board is looking for before they start...I really don't think they look at that.

While all factors matter, the reality of your conduct and service for years subsequent to that score will outshine in some cases, keeping in mind that it can be somewhat of a tie breaker as others with stellar records also have a 110 or above. Thank you for your service.

Your GT score is masked to the board members. It's a non-factor.

IF you concerned about you GT score I would say study and retake I did when I was in went from 105 to 125 so don't worry just take it again. SSG MARK FRANZEN USA Cold War Veteran

well I see that you are a SSG P so you must be on the promotion list for E7 lucky you I made SSG and then I was QMP out of the service but every day I have to deal with PTSD So good luck to you.

They take a look at your whole career. It is just a small part. Education is looked at so much more now...they want senior NCOs with degrees.

Your GT score, if i'm correct is only thought about twice. Upon entry and reclass.. Every thing else is up to you. Duty assignments , positions held.. You made (P) because of your record. Not your GT Score.. lol

I am not sure they have time to look at your scores. However, you can retake the GT Test which I did and improved it greatly each time.

I made it with 91 on my GT so you should be good. Never the less the need for improvement should always be there.

Simply put it NO. There are some special assignments, however, that require the individual to have a 110 GT.

Plenty of stuff like that is X'd out. BMQ, all your Asvab scores, clearance level, religion, dependents, etc... when you are in "my board file" open the ERB that is in it and lots of stuff is X'd out, that is what the board will see

I don't know, but I would work to get that up. It would be a nice bullet on an NCOER for personal and professional growth.
