Will Snowden get a fair trial or make a deal?

What do you think will happen if Snowden comes back to the US? Will he get a fair trial? Will it even go to trial?

Best thing for him is a plea. If he goes to trial he loses, and he'll never see the light of day again.

I'm sure with all of the information he has gathered he will make a deal. He will most likely try to trade the information he has acquired on the run for a pardon, but i'm no expert.

The President has taken a very hard line against whistle blowers, I don't see that changing. No one doubts he broke the law, and those acts are enough to get him locked up for several lifetimes... If he does return to the US, I suspect it will only be to draw more attention to questionable government practices. The cost would be high though, he'd spend the rest of his life in prison.

He will be given a fair trial, more than likely sentenced, and then provided with no-cost, very expensive hormone therapy despite the fact that it is not medically necessary. Oh, wait.....leave that last bit out.....or.....do we?

In all seriousness, he will get a fair trial. There are too many who glorify him like they do Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, and their ilk. They will find idiot attorneys who will ensure that anyone who sneezes in the court room is removed for violating his right to not be verbally assaulted in the court room. It will be a large, expensive production which will probably yield little real truth to the public after the lawyers get their say and after the security elements are scrubbed.

If it goes to trial I hope that it is fair and handled to the letter of the law and it results in a conviction. However, I vote he will make a deal because to find an impartial jury will be very difficult and time consuming.

I think he'll get a team of slick lawyers and they will bargain for a reduced sentence. I just hope it's a meaningful sentence and not a slap on the wrist, after what he did.

If he goes to trial he will be found guilty, but they would rather make a decision to learn what information he knows and what all he distributed and and whom. A deal would also pay for his discretion.

If he decides to return, I think he would secure some type of plea deal before leaving Russia. If he is smart he will obtain Russian citizenship, stay out of the limelight and lead a simple life. Living in Russia may not be great, but, its better than 30 years in the ADX Supermax Prison.
