Will someone enlighten me regarding the Airborne Integration Course?

Upon arrival to Fort Bragg and completion of inprocessing with the installation’s Reception Company, you will go through the Airborne Integration Course (AIC). AIC is a week long course where you will become familiarized with the 82nd Airborne Division’s history and culture, fulfill basic administrative requirements, and attend Basic Airborne Refresher (BAR) if necessary.

Considering some of the issues faced by the Division, the process is totally necessary.
