Personally, I would prefer the S&W M&P, but who knows at this point. It all depends on who thinks they can get a feather in their cap...

Hell no it won't be the new pistol. If we get new pistols how will we still be able to carry that rattling piece of shit around still we currently have.

The weapon itself looks nice and it is the right caliber for stopping power i.e. better then the 9mm. I still prefer a .45 but like I said who knows what will be the next side arm for the US Military.

The army just rejected Beretta's attempt at modernizing the M9.

I seriously doubt they told Beretta to pack sand just so they could get a new gun from Beretta.

I think Beretta has to overcome the bad taste some of us have over the M9. As an old 1911 man back in the 70's, I got to the point I could keep my hits within a 1 inch circle at 25 yards and 2 inches at 50 yards. Something about the M9 just threw me off to the point as a Major I could just barely qualify. Now in full disclosure, I have and love my Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm as a sometimes conceal carry weapon but mostly use my Glock G19 Gen 4....so the caliber is not the issue.
