(it should have) If so and that non rated time is not accounted for with a service school 1059 and bullets in the NCOER to note that, yes a letter to the board might be appropriate .Response by SGM Erik Marquez made May 11 at 2017 3:04 PM2017-05-11T15:04:09-04:002017-05-11T15:04:09-04:00CAPT Kevin B.2562971<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Having sat E7/9 boards, although Navy, two things happen when you write an appropriate letter. First, it tells us you're in it for the long haul and are paying attention to your record. Second, it fills a gap that may exist over what was going on during a certain period. Boards do not like gaps, especially within the last three years. Now if the school was 10 years ago, less important gap wise. I can't imagine there aren't a bunch of AR board sitters with experience on RP that can slam dunk the response, so I defer to them.Response by CAPT Kevin B. made May 11 at 2017 8:06 PM2017-05-11T20:06:47-04:002017-05-11T20:06:47-04:00SFC Michael Hasbun2564947<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is there not a 1059 to account for the time?Response by SFC Michael Hasbun made May 12 at 2017 5:17 PM2017-05-12T17:17:33-04:002017-05-12T17:17:33-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member2572573<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>How long was the school?Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 16 at 2017 8:20 AM2017-05-16T08:20:52-04:002017-05-16T08:20:52-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member2573373<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I made a poor life choice 2 weeks before I was to graduate. SO no 1059, and no time captured on my NCOER, it was back in 2013. When I got to my duty station my senior didn't feel comfortable capturing that time. Hence my question, do I draw attention to it? Or let it slide, my record since has been scrubbed this is my only issue. Thanks for every ones input, I am drafting a letter. Should I submit it, or hope it doesn't stick out?Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 16 at 2017 12:51 PM2017-05-16T12:51:15-04:002017-05-16T12:51:15-04:002017-05-11T15:02:01-04:00
