(WANE)- We don’t know much about 74-year-old James Beavers. Only that he served our country during the Vietnam war. For three weeks following his death, the Allen County Coroner’s Office worked to find any known relatives. Since no one has stepped forward, D.O. McComb & Sons has agreed to provide funeral services and burial.

Beavers died on Nov. 23. but it wasn’t until Nov. 27 that a neighbor found his lifeless body inside his apartment. James was a disabled Vietnam War Veteran, who held the rank of Private in the U.S. Army.

NewsChannel 15 spoke with that neighbor. She said she knew Beavers well. She described him as a very private person. He was an orphan, originally from Marion, Ind. He was never married and never had children.
