Tough question. Let's just say this: I'll be voting for who I believe is the best candidate; however, I don't think that person will win in November. No, there was never a perfect candidate (never will be) but voting is a lot like playing horseshoes and tossing hand grenades. Close is close enough. In those halcyon times, I respected the opposition, all opposition, because, even though we didn't share the same solutions, we generally shared the same ideals and goals. None of this is true any more. Take off the blinders and you'll see that little separates George Bush and Barack Obama (except that George Bush is a decent person). Progressivism has crept into the ranks of both parties (Democrats more so than Republicans). So, I have to look at candidates as individuals, not so much as members of a political party. Few come close enough, but still I chose and vote and hope that some fragment of shrapnel defies the laws of physics and I hit close enough to the target.
