That could be your budget cutting saves, create the schools on the installations that have unused property and facilities with personnel already in place and you save towards the needed reduction in funds, that way no reduction of force to save money needed, makes economical sense to me, but I am not the genius's in Washington, so I am not as smart as they are to lead us. I think asking an NCO to go to school full-time and still having to deal with "work" is too much to ask of some schools, especially at the more senior level. The building of relationships and the focusing on school make it much better than conducting schooling via Distance Learning (DL). I do think some schools can be taught via DL; but, I also believe that building those relationships, face-to-face communication/education, and time at the school with the SMEs can provide a better quality of education for more personal (and less technical) type schooling.<div><br></div><div>There are many things that can be done DL, but there is still something that can/should be done in a classroom at a schoolhouse - for much more than the educational value.</div> COL Private RallyPoint Member Sun, 22 Dec 2013 20:21:04 -0500 2013-12-22T20:21:04-05:00 Response by SSG Zachery Mitchell made Mar 12 at 2014 3:10 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/with-budget-cuts-what-changes-need-to-be-made-to-ncoes-schools?n=74150&urlhash=74150 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Cutting the ALC-CC class in half. 90 days is way more than enough to get it complete, cut it down to 45 of even 60 which would allow more classes per year which in turn would help alleviate the back log of NCO's that are stuck on a waiting list.
