With the impending APFT change to ACRT, how does this change with schools (e.g. OCS and such)? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/with-the-impending-apft-change-to-acrt-how-does-this-change-with-schools-e-g-ocs-and-such <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>With the new PT tests coming in the future years how does it change for schools? Like OCS I’ve heard you have a PT following arrival at the school. With the high rate of those applying to the school and a 50 minutes max to take the test (subject to change with further testing). How does it affect the dynamic of getting let’s say a class of 200 through? With the added complexity, comes new and interesting ways to make Soldiers suffer....like starting the PT test at 0300, and finishing at 2300. But don&#39;t you dare sleep while sitting under the summer sun.... Now that your PT score is a factor in standing and class ranking, I think the AC Soldiers who potentially have more access and ability to train in the events will have an advantage.<br /><br />I also wonder how much of a burden it will be on unit fitness teams and AGR staff to conduct 30 day out tests that most schools require 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 01 Aug 2018 13:45:46 -0400 2018-08-01T13:45:46-04:00 Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 1 at 2018 3:07 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/with-the-impending-apft-change-to-acrt-how-does-this-change-with-schools-e-g-ocs-and-such?n=3844797&urlhash=3844797 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Also I have never once in my career thought AC had an advantage over RC. Just the opposite. It’s all about individual soldier initiative.......which this test will help highlight. TRADOC will build it into the carriculum and the Academy’s will pilot and execute. As for the Guard and Reserve vs. Active I will tell you that (when I ran the Sergeants major Academy) We hadfar more active duty failures in the initial exam than I did with their counterparts. Even during the resident phase of the non resident course (mostly Guard and Reserve) we had very few failures. Have no fear about the tenacity of all of our force, our men and women have steppped up until now and I am sure they will find a away into the future. What a great Army. Thank you for your service. They&#39;ll announce implementation dates via ALARACT or EXORD. They will figure out how to use the AcRT to discriminate the same way they figured out how to make sit-ups and push-ups not count at a 2:1 ratio when you get to PME courses. Just be ready. Focus on correct form and standards. You won&#39;t have any feedback on prep strategies until enough people go through it.
