With the ongoing Ferguson issue, what do you think is the main problem and how do you propose to solve it?

I find that with this issue at hand there is definitely more than what the media reports. I'm used to the whole discriminatory commentary and I've yet to hear some legitimate reasoning and defenses in regards to this issue. I believe that an issue this complex doesn't start with just one case, it's been growing at an accelerated rate and neither parties are willing to take responsibility nor propose solutions. There are many factors that play into why crimes are committed, why racism exists, why poverty exists, why excuses are constantly being made. In order to effectively function as a country, we need unison from everyone. I seek the truth with what the majority really feels and what they believe can fix this ongoing dilemma.

Please refrain from racist jokes and unprofessional behavior as it is clearly "COUNTERPRODUCTIVE" and only fuels the hate.

SrA Private RallyPoint Member, have you read the essay by Benjamin Watson on this topic? I recommend it. I think he's saying that playing the blame game is not the answer. (And I don't think you're saying that I'm just making a general observation.) I saw an extended interview with Watson on CNN today. He maintains that this is NOT a skin problem, but a SIN problem. And I agree.

I think the big problem is everything today turns to a race problem when this to me does not seem to be one from everything I have seen. The other problem is people looking for this to be a race problem. Not every cop is a saint and not every person on the street is a saint.

I'm honestly tired of hearing this case being referred to as a racial issue. Look at the facts....if a big white guy tried to beat up a cop, take his gun, and then rush him when cinfronted outside if the vehicle, he would have been shot too.
