With the school shooting in Pakistan will they push for gun control? Is gun control just a "western" thing?

Over 126 were killed in a school shooting. While it is done by a terrorist organization will they push for gun control? If not, do you think gun control is just a "western" thing? Why?

The idea of gun control in Pakistan implies the Pakistan government has the ability to exert that level of control which i think is... optimistic, at best.

I am sorry that innocent lives had to pay for this, but this is what you get when you:
a) have a nation that provides safe harbor to terrorism and only "enforces" things to make a political point when the heat starts to come on
b) the inability to destroy the enemy in these safe havens

Once again, I feel for the innocent lives lost here, but this is what Pakistan has been breading by permitting such an open situation in the tribal regions. Heck, it seems like the government and ISI are complicit at times.

I think the government of Pakistan will first seek "territory control."

That said they will certainly attempt to disarm people they perceive as likely to use the weapons against them. Powerful groups always do.

Pakistan (and the Muslim world in general) has a much more ingrained gun culture than even the US. Gun control (or lack of it) was not the cause of this terrorist attack. Tacit support by portions of the Pakistani government of radical elements in the Pakistan hinterland is what allowed this to happen. When the Pakistanis get serious about the fight against radical Islam, THEN we'll see stuff like this going away.

We as a Nation have to meet with nations with similar moral thought processes to come together and defeat these vile people who kill children. You can do whatever you want to an adult who has made decisions in their life, but to kill innocent children, we should be out raged. We do nothing, Why???I would much rather go to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria..Oh and Nigeria, and blow them little turds to smithereens. We have shown NO leadership and our weakness, has give the enemy boldness never before seen. We should, and the rest of the world should be ashamed to see this happen and do nothing

I'm pretty sure that the Pakistanis realize that gun control isn't going to solve the whole Taliban terrorism problem. I'm just sayin' when you willingly go into a schoolhouse and spray some kids because you feel that they are learning how to join in the fight against terrorism, I'm pretty sure that it was purely intentional and it was planned out for months. But...here in America it's the fault of the gun and not the wielder of the gun. I guess people believe that lives would've been spared if guns weren't invented.

But.......I do believe that there are many weapons other than a gun out there that kills folks. I mean, David did slay Goliath with a slingshot. And what able Abel? I'm pretty sure that Cain didn't have a gun. I think that the folks in the Middle East are a little smarter than us when it comes to criminals and guns. IJS

It's just a western thing. This is the result of the dismantling and removal of everything our Founding fathers built this nation on.
