With the virus going around, is Airborne School only available for Soldiers that are already here on Fort Benning ?

I've been with my training company for a month or so and I got put on the list for airborne school, I was told that my chances of going are higher now because only people here on benning already were the only ones going as of now due to the virus. Anyone here know how true this is ?

Many schools are still running, but people are not allowed to travel to them from off post. It's probably a good time to get airborne school and Ranger school if you can.

1SG (Join to see) yes but it's not TDY and not considered travel, plus they have their own two star general to bless off on any ETP they would need

Which means me being a volunteer is a higher chance ...i got the airborne physical next week so i lucked up i guess lol

from what i was told today sir, as of now airborne is only available for soldiers already here, volunteers and contracts with airborne due to the virus no one else outside of benning can go to the school right now
