Would 13f or 19d prepare you better for SF selection/qcourse?

Former 2141 reserve marine looking to join the army as a 13f or 19d, then go SF. What mos would prepare and push me towards that goal?

Either one will work, 11B or 12B will work better. 11B/C is most comparable to 18B. 12B to 18C. 68W to 18D. I don’t know if anything really compares to 18E.
Just pick one you’ll enjoy doing, you’ll get a year of training to learn your new job

Most combat jobs you can get airborne, ranger slots in your contract. I don't think any really prepare you. You either try and do or don't

If these are the two you are offered the. 13F. You should request an assignment to a lite unit if offered this MOS.

There arent really any MOS' that better prepare you for a SOF one. It's a reclass, they teach you everything during Q course. An Xray tech has as much chance as a Scout.

You can drop your packet for SF once your 6 months from getting out of the Corps, or you can go 18X when you enter the Army and skip the other MOS'

It has already been stated, but I was a prior 13F before transitioning over to 37F another one of the SOF MOS. In truth there is not one single MOS that will prepare you for SF. The same could be said for Ranger, Delta, or even CAG. At the end of the day it is up to you to train your body and your mind to mentally prepare for it. As for the technical skills and so forth, they will teach your everything that you need to know to succeed. You just need to be a sponge and absorb and implement the knowledge that you receive. Do not be a solo player and carry your weight and be willing to be a team player. Might not sound like much but this can go a long way. Just my personal advice!
