(Edited: REC BN CDR conducts initial determination, then it is forwarded to DA G-1 for waiver consideration, ref AR 670-1 3-3.i-k).<br />Was it documented by memorandum and photo in your Army Military Human Resource Record (AMHRR) during your last period of service.<br />AR 670-1. 3-3. i.<br />Appropriate authorities for accession determinations are listed in subparagraphs (1) through (6), below.<br />(1) Accessions recruiting battalion commanders (O–5 or above), or the recruiting battalion executive officer (O–4) who has been appointed as acting commander via assumption of command orders in the absence of the battalion commander, will make initial entry determinations for new accessions that tattoos or brands comply with this policy for Active Army (AA) and USAR Soldiers. It appears as if you are currently serving, and likely got the Tat while serving. If so you will likely not receive a waiver, in fact your unit can take other action against you. I would resommend you speak off line with he retention NCO and get a feel for the current environment. I would also say that If whatvivstatedbisbtruebyouvare in violation, and your NCOs are a bit slow on the uptake. Thank you for your service.
