Hello RP. Would anyone be able to reference a few things to read regarding preparation for 15R AIT?

There isn't really much to read up on, I went to 15R AIT for the D model in 2007 they will teach and give you all the info you need !!! Only thing I could suggest is look up how to do safety wire how to use micrometers depth gauges calipers T gauges and get familiar with technical manuals you could also read about general practices in the DA pam 738-751

There is really nothing to prepare for AIT for 15R just show up with a good attitude and willing to learn and you’ll suceed

As some of my counter parts have said, there isn’t anything to prepare for. I went to AIT 2015, right place right uniform is all need to know. DA Pam 738-751 is great, the IETM will be your best friend. Best of luck to you

If you have basic mechanical knowledge,like knowing which end of the screwdriver to use, you will be fine. You should focus your preparation on physical fitness. Can you run 2 miles in 15 min, 42 cotrect pushups in 2 min & 52 situps in 2 min. Everything else requires only paying attention to instructions and focus.

AR 95-1 & DA PAM 738-751 you could start by reading those two, those are the Army Aviation bibles

Just have a good attitude and show up ready to learn. Pay attention to your instructors and soak up as much info as you can.
