Would I be able to receive a waiver to reclassify due to a low ST score?

So my current asvab score on the ST Line is a 90 But I need a 91 in order to reclass as a MP. I’d rather keep this score than retake the test and possibly score lower and be stuck with that Line score. Is it possible for them to give me a waiver for that 1 point ?

I recommend you retake the ASVAB test. If you study on your own and seek help at Education Center, you will increase your scores by at least 10 points. Additionally, there are many programs in the Army that require a GT and line scores a minimum of 110.

Don't count on a waiver for ASVAB scores. Plan to retest.

There is no waiver for this situation. You’ll have to retake the ASVAB to boost your score up.

You have to contact the MP proponent to get a line score waiver. It’s easier to retake the ASVAB

I recommend you take the asvab again. There are classes offered at the education center that are weeks to a month long to help you raise your line scores. Trust me, you put the effort in and study, you will raise your line scores. I'm speaking from personal experience. Once you do raise them, you'll be surprised how many more jobs that are available to you that you may be interested in rather than MP. I'm an MP, but currently at school to reclass to an amazing field because of taking that class at the education center which raised my line scores 15+ points.

Normally there is NO, 0 waivers for test scores ever.

If you don't have the scores you need to reclass, why would you want to keep those scores? Study for a few weeks/months prior to the retest. There are hundreds of ASVAB resources out there. Have confidence in yourself! If you put in the work, your line scores will improve.

I'm just surprised anyone would want to reclass as an MP. I was forcibly reclassed from ADA to MP and I got 90A qualified as soon as possible.

Definitely recommend to retake the exam, retaking will most likely not result in a lower score especially after studying and focusing. As far as getting a waiver is concerned I don’t think I’ve actually seen anyone get ASVAB waivers approved for re-class, waivers are tough to come by nowadays.
