Would I get any college credits from OCS?

I’m currently going through traditional Army National Guard OCS. I haven’t seen any obtained college credits so far on my Joint Services Transcript however.

Not really, but if you take your joint services transcript to whatever university you want to go to, they will sometimes give you some credit for it. When I got my masters, K State gave me a whole bunch of credits for my JST, but they weren’t really credits toward my masters so it didn’t really help anyway. Just inflated my elective credit.

As far as I know OCS is never was a college credit course.

In my experience, almost none of your military education courses are worth anything at college. The only exception being that they will some times let you substitute some military education for electives, PE and other such courses. If anyone else has had differing experiences, please post.

That's actually a quite interesting question...read these, I'll try to explain, OK? I actually asked about that specific aspect, a long while back, for USAF OTS...what I found out was that before OTS was created, USAF actually had an OCS, per se, that apparently did allow some sort of credit, whether it was undergrad, or grad, I "think" the latter, I'm not entirely certain...it was quite awhile ago that I'd asked about it, though I do definitely remember having done so. Apparently, however, when USAF stopped its OCS, and substituted its OTS, that credit aspect evidently stopped. Why, I never found out, I only found out that was definitely the case, honest...so, that being said, the only group in the US that actually keeps the complete list of virtually ALL programs, incl military ones, for which credit of ANY kind is granted, is the Amer Council on Educ (ACE)...they also, along with DANTES, which you more likely had heard of, do the mil transcripts you'd been referring to...however, if you really want to find out, call the ACE mil/vet ofc, and speak with one of their supervisors and/or managers, to be absolutely certain...trust me, if such credit exists, they're gonna definitely be the ones who know, if anybody does...one would logically expect that an OCS, OTS, or OIS (direct-commission indoc) would, in fact, be rated for undergrad or grad credit...to me, that always seemed a quite logical thing to do, being as certain ROTC coursework (I'd been Army ROTC before USAF OTS) is so rated...specifically, mil history, which had been a 3-credit undergrad course, when I'd done it, or quantitative management techniques, also unit tactics, as I recall...if you look at any ROTC program in any college catalog online, you'll likely see that, as I'd said, some, albeit not all, such coursework, is in fact still so rated...evidently, however, even though an OCS, OTS, or OIS, is obv organized at least at the grad-seminar level, in my estimation, apparently, for whatever crazy reason, apart from what I'd read of the USAF OCS, from long ago (it stopped sevl yrs before I'd gone to USAF OTS at Lackland, it's now at Maxwell, obv), no such credit is granted any longer...I've read of other instances where credit was, in fact, given, for mil programs...I'd wanted, at one point, to go for Navy nuc enlisted 6-yr, to have tried for the NUPOC proram, during the hime of Adm Rickover, I could just never get to be allowed to have gone to the the interview (a friend of mine did, met him, got it, then changed his mind, I was really envious, candidly)...there was a program run by NY State, called Regents College/External Degrees (RCD/RED), under the Univ of the State of NY (USNY, NOT the SUNY schools, those are legally different entities)...anyway, a group of Navy enlisted guys were apparently plaguing USNY RCD/RED to allow a block of undergrad credit for the Navy nuc enlisted school, which, as they were so constantly insistent about it, I'd read Navy and USNY RCD/RED eventually did in fact grant...it wasn't a whole assosc or bach, or course, however, it was a fair chunk of undergrad credit, I'd athered, 20, 30, whatever it was....eventually, USNY RCD/REC privatized, as Excelsior College, splitting off from NY State, I got a 2nd bach in math from them, using GRE subject tests, which was allowed back then...a friend of mine got his bach in math through them, transferring in credit from three different schools, one of which he and I had gone to together, he dropped out, then finished elsewhere and transferred all that in, as well as stuff he'd done before, and want Navy OCS using that bach...if you want to look at the school as it is now, it's on http://www.excelsior.edu...there may have been other such instances, I don't know, where svcs ot credit for their programs, however, that always struck me as a rather unique example...however, as I'd said, so far as I'd known, apart from the USAF OCS case, as I'd explained, no OCS, OTS, or OIS, that I know of, at any rate, grants credit, whether undergrad, or grad, as others have observed here...the USAF OCS case, that I'm fairly certain was, in fact, granted, though, as I'd said, I never knew if it was for undergrad or grad level...I know the various command and staff, as well as war colleges, or similar schools, later on, do now grant masters, as well as, I "think", in "some" cases, "maybe" a PhD...there'd been a thread on here that one of the Army senior enlisted schools for, I "think" Sgt Maj, though I'm not entirely certain, started granting a bachelors...USAF also has its Community College of the AF (CCAF), for assocs level, I've often wondered if it'd ever been opened to other svcs, I'd asked on here and been told no, even though I'd seen stuff about the idea...however, for what you'd asked, the OCS, OTS, OIS question, there, about those, I'm reasonably certain the answer is no, though, as I'd explained, to be absolutely certain, all the ACE mil/vet ofc, and ask their supervisors and/or managers, they'll definitely know, or, at the very least be able to tell you how to find out...no credit is ever granted to any legitimate brick-and-mortar facility, incl a state-level OCS, unless approved by one of the regional accrediting bodies approved and recognized by the US Educ Dept (USED)...for whichever state you're doing the state-level OCS with, look up which such body handles your state, e.g., Middle States, Western States, etc., call their ofc also, and explicitly ask them, if the program is accredited, they, apart from the ACE mil/vet ofc, should most definitely be able to give you a definite answer...you could also try DANTES, maybe, as well, perhaps, thouh that's just a guess on my part, honest...I hope all that helps, and/or gives you enough info to be able to get an answer, I'd be most curious what you'd actually find out, if you'd ever have a chance to say, either way, whenever convenient, no rush, obv, OK?

Honestly, you have to ask your college. Your JST will show your military schools. It is up to your college to translate that into college credit. For some OBVIOUS parallels, JST may recommend a college similarity, but it is still up to the college to decide whether or not they grant credit, and what credit they will grant.

For instance: I went to Human Intelligence Collector school. My college at the time chose to grant me credit for "applied psychology." When I transferred, my new college took that applied psych credit and allowed it to fulfill a intro to psych slot in the core curriculum. Either school could have said that the training didn't meet their specific credentialing requirements, and tje first school could have given me nothing, the second could have given me only elective transfer credit.
At the end of the day, the school giving you credit has to make thw call foe themselves as to what standard you have met and whether that standard fulfills the school's requirements.

Credits are awarded by universities not OCS or any like program. You will need to speak to whomever you are earning your degree. Thank you for your service.

In my experience (not OCS), I never received JST credits until I was completely done with the course... the same way that you don't receive credits for a college class unless you earn a passing grade and complete the course.

Also, JST pulls it's information from other systems (not sure which, ATRRS? SIDPERS?), so it may take awhile for those to first be updated and then for JST to be updated off of those systems.
