Would I still get a reenlistment bonus if I request to reclass as well?

I have 7 months left in my contract and was planning to reenlist, but switch my MOS over from 11B to either 35F or 35L. I already checked to see if I qualify for the 35 series (which I do), but from what I have researched, it sounds like I wouldn't qualify for a reenlistment bonus if I reclass. I was wondering if any one in the California Army National Guard could shed some more light on this. Thank you!

I'm not in the National Guard but I have reclassed while still receiving a bonus for my original MOS. At the time the retention NCO told me if the reclass is involuntary (the Army was phasing out my original MOS), I get to keep my bonus, otherwise I would've had to pay back a portion of it.

If you haven't already, I strongly recommend you ask your local retention NCO about this. I'm sure he/she can give you a definite answer on this.

Typically, bonuses are tied to specific MOSs and retention needs based on those slots. Check with retention
