Would my orders change for my first duty station due to getting a summarized article 15 four days before graduating AIT?

It depends on what your command team decides. Two people I knew in AIT got caught underage drinking. One had orders to Ft. Polk, the other to Schofield Barracks. Our commander told the guy going to Polk that he was going to keep his orders (probably because people consider it a terrible assignment) while the other lost orders to Hawaii.

If you got a article 15 before graduating AIT you have bigger issues to worry about.

unless it effects your ability to report to your duty station on time it shouldn't. But orders have a way of changing for no reason what so ever.

Guess who puts in the request to change your orders? It's your local Senior Drill Sergeant or 1SG in your training company. You should ask one of them. Generally speaking, few units care about a Summary Article 15 at Company grade level and it does not follow you to the new unit. It is pretty much a stern slap on the wrist and a warning you should take seriously. Field Grade Article 15's follow you from unit to unit. Having said all that, I am totally ignorant of your MOS, what your first unit of assignment is, etc. It's none of my business so don't post it. However, if it is a sensitive assignment and your local cadre think you might be a risk, yes they can get you reassigned.

First find out if you are even getting it. I Messed up big time for being a dumbass in AIT and got recommended for a company grade. This was like a month or so before graduation. When they brought me into the room and asked me what happened I told the truth down to the last detail and signed a sworn statement admitting to it. But after that day I didn't hear anything about it for weeks and graduation was coming up so like a week before graduation I asked my DS about the status of it and he goes? Wait what? You got an article 15? And said that no news is good news and if I was gunna be held back They would have told me by now. Graduated, signed myself out and never heard of it again. Thinking maybe my commander was like nah he made it this far let him go or just didn't think it was that serious of an offense. Either way always tell the truth because karma is real!
