I'm hosting a free workshop on 15 and 22 Dec 2015, in coordination with the Cook County Veterans Assistance Commission where we will be teaching veterans how to create their personal brand which is part of my phd dissertation. CSM David, this is a great question. The value of a personal brand and the difference between a brand and the resume is a question I get alot of which is really why I am doing this research. There are some interesting articles that explain this but I would say there is a big difference. The type of branding I am testing is one that is more geared towards helping a candidate define themselves so they can market themselves for jobs that they are a fit for. Career builder liked the idea of helping their clients develop a brand because an individual can post this on linkedin and attract the right types of jobs from recruiters.
