Would you choose"High Speed" Boots or Old School Jungles?

This a more specific follow-up to a previous question. I have always heard great things about old fashioned jungle boots from older veterans who had them. McRae makes a pair in coyote brown I am interested in. Would you pick new aftermarket boots, or should I stick with the tried-and-true jungles?

I would recommend trying out various boots and see which you like. What other people find comfortable, you may not, and vice versa.

Everyone's feet are different. All footwear is created in sizes to fit people, especially boots. There are different types of insoles that can be used for better comfort. I still have my original 2 HW desert boots and 2 sets of CW. They are more comfortable than the black ones we used to wear.
Footwear is an individual choice. The regulation on them was pretty tight while I was in. I never bought after market boots. For personal use, you have free reign but if you're looking for on-duty footwear, there are regs, usually according to unit that say which boots and from which manufacturer are approved.

Not all "aftermarket" boots are approved for wear. See DA PAM 670–1 para 20–3 Boots for additional guidance/information.

Jungle boots were the only issue boots that worked for me. I jumped with them in the 82nd, although that was frowned on.

I would not buy ANYTHING made by McRae, and in fact, I refused issue at my last CIF of a pair of McRae boots (the only ones they had in my size at the time)

I loved jungle boots. Best looking boot ever. But lets be real, the newer high speed boots are 100x more comfortable. I'm big on comfort when it comes to uniforms, boots, and gear.
