That often means they hit rock bottom. PTSD with a drinking problem is devastating. I know. I have the T-Shirt.

The pain calculus of PTSD and chemical dependency is not 5+5, it is 5X5. Alcoholics Anonymous has been carrying the torch of recovery for over 100 years and it is the single most effective program for the treatment of addiction available. It is also a fully self supporting institution with no ties to any corporate or governmental agency and is truly an anonymous program that works! I personally owe my LIFE to the people in AA. Nobody truly understands the emotional struggle that addiction holds like someone that has overcome it, and that is why it works!
