Personally I don't hate my job, it's not my dream job by any means but it is stable, pays decent and is military friendly. At this point I am transferring within in my agency and opening a lot my promotion opportunities because I am committed to make the best of it even if that means having to transfer every few years. I guess my view is I'm accustomed to a certain lifestyle I wouldn't be willing to give up. I could have a job I enjoyed more because I'm a stability person and I'm a few years deep into my career and feel committed. If it pays the bills, it fits the bill for me! You don't get rich in the military, so most of us loved the job because it certainly didn't pay well. Loving what you do is the most important thing in a job. Great pay may provide some level of gratification but at some point you will become bored, stressed or both if your job is something you don't enjoy doing.
