H*LL YES I would vote for him!!! He is this generation's Chesty Puller. The most revered and respected Marine of OEF/OIF by far. He should have been commandant of the Marine Corps instead of being forced out by Obama...

I'm going to go against the grain and say no, for now. I say this for a multitude of reasons but I don't do it to be disrespectful of GEN Mattis. First of all, I don't honestly know too much about him although I have heard a lot of positive comments from many others, mostly Marines. Second, I will not vote for someone based on a"reputation" or name recognition. Third, I want to know exactly what he stands for before I make a decision to vote for anyone. I would also do this for Army officers I am familiar with.
