There are hundreds of VSO's and we can impact Veterans lives. What is a patriotic non profit that you support and why?

I created AmericanWarrior.us because I believed World War II Veterans deserved to see their memorials, which were created 60 years after the end of the war.

As a Retiree, I would volunteer to do a month duty securing our Southern Border while the wall is being built.

I am on the other end of the spectrum. I help young people before and during enlistment so they can become veterans. Stonewalled on any support at all from Corporate, local, DOD. But it's worth it.

I volunteer as an officer in the Civil Air Patrol. I work with the cadet program in our local squadron and as a TAC Officer and the Range Master at the past three Summer Encampments. We have a Cadet Program that is one of the best programs for teenagers I have ever seen. Our squadron has sent Cadets to West Point, the US Air Force Academy, and ROTC with full scholarships.

I'm an active member of the Blue Star Mothers of America. I also volunteer at the local VA hospital and with Homes for Our Troops. Why? That's tougher to answer. The Blue Stars helped me understand the ins and outs of being an Army mom. So, at first it was to stay busy. Then I saw the need. So, I keep doing it to give back to our Troops.

I am actively engaged in the American Legion and I have been a VFW member until our post went inactive. I believe these are fine organizations and I hope they could be considered in this list of worthy organizations.

I would volunteer to help any homeless veteran. It is saddening to see them congregate in urban areas, and unable to find work, housing, food, and clothing. The veteran population deserves our thanks.

Yes sir. As a teenager, I (along with my parents) served as a Volunteer Observer in the Cold War GROUND OBSERVER CORPS -- had to quit when the Corps was deactivated.
For the past 17 years, I serve my community as a Sheriff's Volunteer; managing a Courier Team of Citizen Volunteers providing daily service to the local criminal justice system. Most of our Couriers are Veterans -- four are retired from military service.
