Definitely. It would be nice to have something other than the utility/field uniform, especially when recruiting, for example.

No. They've already switched once recently, switching again is just admitting to failure at the higher levels of command and forces the Soldiers to burden the cost.

Not to mention that it's 2018, and while I'm all for honoring history, why not MAKE history instead? Instead of retreading outdated looking uniforms (which look like they belong on a movie set) why not come up with a new, modern design?

No, because I'm sick and tired of assholes with more rank than sense not caring about my duty performance while telling me I'm not a leader because I don't run right out and get "new uniforms" while the existing ones have a wear out date MORE than a year away. It is crazy that we keep changing uniforms and the craziest part is that all the changes have been in less than a decade.

I like the pink and greens but come on...please don’t get me started on the “that’s why you get the clothing allowance”. Everybody knows that the allowance is not enough to cover the cost of all the uniforms. For those of you that think that we should set money to the side throughout an entire year....you don’t get the point of having a clothing allowance. THAT’s THE WHOLE POINT OF HAVING A CLOTHING ALLOWANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol

I'm honestly torn, I think they look sharp and would be more professional for office duty than the ACU. However, I also like the low-maintenance of the ACU. Lastly, I don't think troops should be required to buy another uniform right now. I think it will be optional though.

Yes.
The current dress uniforms look too identical with commercial airline pilots. The dark blue coat and white collar shirt are more iconic for them than it with us.

Else, a dark blue \ black coat is too common anyways. I'm sure we service members want a uniform more representative and distinctive.

Yes, because all signs point to men and women having matching uniforms. I'm sick of my pillbox cap, neck tab, skirt and pumps. When you picture a Soldier in your mind, no one thinks of that. So sick of looking like a flight attendant. You can say that I have the option to wear slacks instead (which is only one of the problems) but I actually don't. According to regs, it's the Commander's discretion.

I know some of the guys are going to vehemently disagree, but to force a woman to wear a skirt can be demeaning. I wear utilitarian clothing that makes sense, even in my civies. Why is 12% of the Army singled out for a separate uniform?

Give me the unisex pinks and green or at least change the current ASU. Worth the cash for me.

Note: Up until the last 1960's, women were still being arrested for wearing slacks. It's important to us.

Yes, but they should give an issued set to all officers as well, or at least a real clothing allowance to cover the cost. Since I have transitioned into a Warrant Officer the amount of money I have spent on uniforms has been more then my take home pay for 3 months of BA. Also I think there should be an Army wide hold placed on any uniform updates for at least the next 20 years.

No. Nein. Nyet. Just once in my career, I would like to start and stop with one uniform style. I would also like for Clothing Allowance to be given back to TPU Soldiers. Until then, I say NO to all new uniforms....especially if the change doesn't benefit the Army...and especially when the person pushing for this retires this year.

Change for change sake? No.
It's a nice looking uniform, but there's nothing wrong with the Blues. My entire career was tied to the Class A, Dress Green uniform and soldiers were always saying they wished the Army would get rid of them in favor of the Blues. Now, they want to switch to the predecessor of the Greens believing they will look 'better'. Same thing people from my era said about the Blues.
If they do switch (again) there should be something that locks this in for a period of time. Don't let the next leadership group repeat the process in a few years.

I think it would be nice to distinguish the army and air force again. Especially during recruiting or other public transparency events. Walking around Ft Bliss I've seen junior Airmen walking around with hand in pocket and on thier phone. The average civilian may not catch the difference and assume the army has lost its bearing. I use this as an example because it's happened. We are professionals of our job and should dress like it.

It's a great looking uniform but needs to have an optional Ike jacket and tan colored tie. Also, the design with the tan "pink" trousers were historically only for officer ranks, including Warrant Officers. The enlisted ranks, E1 through E9 wore trousers that were olive drab green; the same as the jacket.
And finally, the service caps, historically, were for the male Soldiers only. Female Soldiers had a more appropriate and distinctive headgear.
These facts are being neglected in the decision to field these uniforms. Because the intent is to keep with historical authenticity, should not all of this have been considered?

Yes, because they are cool. However, this is my third uniform change and I'm sick of it. But knowing me, I'll probably buy them regardless that I do not have to since I plan on retiring in 4.5 years.
