You definitely lost me with this one ... the only "good" day I had in boot camp was the day I graduated from boot camp. Of course, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!!

Every day was a bad day, Some Worse than Others. The day that stuck in my mind is the day the CC came in after Revile/Pop Tall and said "Good Morning Sailors" (Instead of Recruits) we knew we had turned a corner for the Better. Those last 2 weeks were actually rather nice.

I didn't have a bad day in boot camp. Got in trouble for smiling all the time. Almost 15 years later, still smiling:) I would go back in a heartbeat too with the same group.

I remember the one time I forgot the golden rule of boot camp: stay quiet, follow orders, don't make a fuss. The TI had the courtesy to whisper to me, "Get ready, cuz here it comes." before I was swarmed & all hell was unleashed. That was fun.

Ok, heres my story. My battle buddy in basic was an interesting character. After the 3rd or 4th day he was getting dropped by every DI there, of course I drop with him EVERY TIME. By the end of week two he had DI's telling him to do pushups if my buddy could see them through a window across the quad! By week three i had been ordered by the head DI that I could not drop with my buddy cause it wasnt my fault he was fucked up. Last week there, one of the last locker inspections he had a cup of coffee made up, left over mre packet, sitting in his wall locker. Our DI found this coffee and grabbed it and put it on the window sill. DI kept looking, my buddy decided to break the ice and see what he was looking for? DI "Im looking for the god damn donuts" battle buddy"Theres no donuts in there, I'm not a cop" , btw I had reserve DI's we got a new group every two weeks, DI "Do you know what I am as a civilian" Battle Buddy" Nope" DI "I'm a deputy sheriff", at which point after not dropping with my buddy for weeks I hit the ground like theres incoming fire! My battle buddy is still staring at the DI as comprehension slowly enters his brain. Minutes later he is taken outside for some intense physical correction. Locker inspection resumes minus one person. It was a bad day in boot camp.
