I was in the National Guard for 9.5 years. my National Guard records say that I served 585 days (for retirement of course). I then was commissioned as an Ensign in the Navy Reserves under an IRR status while I was getting my masters (I was on orders from time to time in the Navy Reserves, no more than a month at a time). I was then picked up this past fall for Navy Active duty.
My LES says 0 years of service. Which doesn't seem right. Does the Navy recognize my Army reserve time? If it does, would it take the 585 days I served or would it take the 9.5 years of Army plus the Navy Reserve time I served?? Right now my command sent my Army and Navy records to PSD but I haven't heard anything back yet?
Does anyone have experience with moving from an Army Reserve component to Active Navy?

All calculations for time are the same regardless of what branch you are a part of. It is normal for the MEPS to reset your time when you are prior service. It is not the correct thing, but in my experience it is a very common occurrence.
In the army, your S1 or career counselor would fix this for you. I don't know who in the Navy would be responsible for calculating your time, but it is submitted through Finance to DFAS to update your payentry day, and your basic active service date

Yes, I just did the math. It's somewhere in the rang of about $9,000 if you include my reserve time. It's about $7,600 if you only look at my active duty time. I know my Command Master Chief(E-9 command senior enlisted) is watching it like a hawk.

SFC (Join to see) - Wow, what a wealth of knowledge. So in the DOD FMR on page 1-11 I talks about "Creditable Prior Enlisted Service." It's a little confusing. In almost sounds like that I should be getting paid at 0-2E not as 0-2 if I have 9.5 years of service in the guard.

LT (Join to see) it's very confusing. Creditable service for pay refers to time that's credited toward the calculation of your pay entry date. As far as I know, you need 4 years of active duty to qualify as an O2E
