What is the appropriate process to transfer units after finishing Palace Chasing?

So I just finished Palace Chasing. Due to the date I Palace Chase, I do not go to my first drill weekend until next month. However, my wife just got transferred to a different state and we are moving at the end of the month. My ISR said that I need to "In process" and then "out process" from my current unit before I can change units. That would require me to travel all the way back to my unit after we have already moved. Is there anyone that can provide any extra insight on this issue?
For extra information I am currently with, or I guess not with yet, the 916th ARW at Seymour Johnson and I am trying to transfer to the 927th at Macdill AFB
