Been waiting on Air National Guard SG waiver for over six months. MEPS PDQ
'd me for a glucose level 2 points over max. Everything else was perfect at MEPS. The glucose reading was part of over 40 blood work. I am prior service.

If MEPS listed you as diabetic, you won't get a waiver, and if in the service, would be medical boarded out. If it's just high-enough to be pre-diabetes, you have a shot, but to be honest, it's not much bigger.

I am surprised they didn't do a retake at 2 points over that could be a anomaly . I am no medic but worked in operations with pilots and aircrew training . BTW what unit .

Thanks for replying - they did approve my waiver - took 8 months. I'm almost swearing in to the 105 Airlift Wing - NY Air National Guard.

I know with Aircrew they do not give very many waivers . Sad but I seen many careers end with high glucose readings . All the best .
